Natalie & Rankin met at running club in Bellahouston Park, it was the site of these beautiful engagement photos, and it will be the venue to to host their wedding come February in Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s gorgeous House for an Art Lover. We are always excited when a couple choose a session location that is significant to them and their relationship, it makes the resulting pictures all the more meaningful!
This is definitely one of our favourite engagement sessions to date. Look at these gorgeous sun drenched pics, we feel so lucky to be able to share their love story! We can’t wait for the big day!

An engagement photo session can be a wonderful addition to your wedding package (and comes included in our ‘Deluxe’ package). Inside every romance is a beautiful adventure, and your engagement photos let you share that love story with family and friends.
An engagement session is a casual photo shoot that can take place before the wedding, any time from 2 years to 2 weeks before the big day. We recommend this session for several reasons: It will help us get to know each other and also help you learn what it feels like to be in front of the camera. But besides that, you’ll come away with gorgeous images!
You can to use the images not only in your home, but also on your wedding stationary (save the dates, invites, thank you cards) or as a photo guest book, as below.
Of all of the many details involved in planning a wedding, choosing a photographer is one of the most important. The day you’ve waited for will be over before you know it, and with the right photographer, you’ll have beautiful memories to enjoy forever. The perfect photographs will transport you back to each special moment of your wedding day, so you can relive your happiness again and again. Selecting the right photographer can be overwhelming, though, so how can you choose?
Take a second to think about why you want a photographer at your wedding. Before you look for a photographer, you have to know what it is you’re looking for. Do you just want a few pictures of the day as a record of the event? Or do you want every carefully planned detail and heartfelt emotion to be captured and presented in a beautiful custom designed heirloom album that you can pass down through your family? Or are you looking for something in between?
Know what you want.
Think back to weddings you have been to recently. What about the photography did you like or dislike? Did you hate the time consuming group pictures? Did you love that you hardly noticed the photographer all day? Did you like your friend’s custom designed wedding album? Now consider what you want from your wedding photography. Do you want a low stress, no fuss day? Or do you want a posed picture with every person there? Take a minute to think of some keywords that express how you want your wedding photos to feel. On one end of the spectrum you might have words like striking, posed, dramatic, or editorial. On the other end: candid, natural, relaxed, stress-free. Taking a moment to think about these things will give you a clear picture (nice pun) of what it is you want.
Allison & Michael had an intimate wedding at the stunning Aberdeen Town House. We then had some time to take some beautiful bride & groom (and John the young un) portraits in the lovely Johnston Gardens in Aberdeen’s west end. What a beautiful sunny day it was too!
Many congratulations to Allison & Michael!

The 22nd March saw the second of our spring weddings for 2014. Athene and Brian tied the knot in style with an intelligent and meaningful ceremony at one of our favourite venues, Pollokshields Burgh Hall. In a ceremony that combined the traditional and the modern Athene and Brian promised to share their lives together in the company of their closest friends and family.
