Fiona & Martin did something outrageous. They planned and executed their awesome wedding in only 12 weeks! Yes, it can be done! They seized the day and decided that this wedding was going to happen, and it all turned out perfectly. Their wonderful son was ring bearer and they had their family and friends all around them as they tied the knot at Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s House for an Art Lover in Bellahouston Park Glasgow. The venue is beautiful and lends itself so well to weddings that you can have the ceremony, dinner and reception all in several stunning rooms throughout the house.
Martin’s very talented and lovely cousin Sorcha May provided music during the signing of the register and at the dinner too.
We also managed to get outside for some bride & groom portraits just as the sun was going down, our favourite time of day so that was a treat for us too.
The speeches were really lovely, especially when Martin got a bit choked up as he announced that he and his new wife have another baby on the way! Kristeen and I both started to tear up too!
After dinner everyone went downstairs to the party where It’s No’ Reel, a smashing ceilidh band, led everyone through some traditional dancing; the guests and us loved it!
We could not be happier to say congratulations to Martin & Fiona! Enjoy the photos!
Bethan & Don had a fabulous Autumn wedding at Logie Country House in September and we were honoured to capture it for them! The venue is beautiful and the staff were great, everything ran like clockwork. They also had the benefit of having the whole of Logie House for the weekend and with 13 seriously luxurious bedrooms it was like a great family & friends holiday too! We can’t recommend Logie House enough!
Bethan and her family & friends made so many of the little touches and details themselves it was so awesome to see that everyone had pitched in. Bethan’s Mum made her brooch bouquet, Don’s Mum made the wedding stationary and Bethan’s sister made lots of origami paper cranes which are for good luck!
Bethan & Don are a lovely lovely couple, our kinda peeps. They had their first dance to Biffy Clyro, they walked up to the top of a field so we could photography them with Bennachie in the background, then Bethan got a piggy back down! Bethan also had an amazing second dress which she wore to the reception.
They also have a wee one on the way so we could not be happier for them when we say congratulations to Bethan & Don, lang may yer lum reek! Enjoy the photos!
The 22nd March saw the second of our spring weddings for 2014. Athene and Brian tied the knot in style with an intelligent and meaningful ceremony at one of our favourite venues, Pollokshields Burgh Hall. In a ceremony that combined the traditional and the modern Athene and Brian promised to share their lives together in the company of their closest friends and family.
