Sparkly Rose Gold Bridesmaid Dresses and Colourful Wildflower Bouquets at this gorgeously vintage House for an Art Lover Wedding, Glasgow
The styling of Karen and David’s wedding was wonderful. There were lots of sparkles to mark the special occasion but also some lace and pearls which gave it a vintage feel. It was a magnificent treat for the eyes and certainly made us squeal on more than one occasion throughout the day.
Prep for the girls took place at the luxury Malmaison in Glasgow. This is where I first saw Karen’s dress which was just gorgeous. The colour was beautiful, and the belt combined a little glitz and some pearls which I am personally a huge fan of.
To compliment Karen’s dress the bridesmaids wore SPARKLY rose gold dresses which were amazing. And when Karen showed me her fabulous headpiece by Susan Dick, which again used sparkles and pearls to create a modern feel, but with a vintage twist, I must have been on my 100th squeal of the day.
To top it all off the almost retro feel of the wildflower style bouquet from Make Believe Events, with their oranges and yellows, really completed the modern vintage look perfectly.
Over with the boys, Sarah captured their story as they got ready. No detail was left to chance and their traditional Scottish kilts and accessories were worn with precision. The Best Man, having been in the army, was in charge of making sure all the boys looked perfect with great success! Usually, Sarah has to step in with kilts but not on this occasion! I do believe there was also some interest in the TV that morning as Celtic played Rangers in the football.
With every single person in the wedding party looking ah-freaking-mazing, we headed to House for an Art Lover in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow for the ceremony. The sun was out, the guests had arrived. The only thing left to do was to get married – followed by some obligatory confetti shots (our favourite thing!).
If you’re having a House for an Art Lover wedding you are spoiled for choice locations for your couples portraits – the gorgeous grounds, the intimate oval room and the bright space of the music room and its balcony area. There was gorgeous light everywhere on Karen and David’s big day.
After the meal – it was party time. And woah, did these guys and girls know how to party – as evidenced by all the people on tables and chairs, and this was before the first dance had even started, haha love it! The wedding party and guests danced their evening away on the dance floor (and tables!), Karen and David’s wedding was celebrated with gusto.
Congratulations Karen and David!! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness.
